Who are Lenovo?

You may or may not have heard of Lenovo before, but they’re the world’s largest PC manufacturer. If you’re looking at a new computer from them, you’re in safe hands. Since their establishment in Beijing back in 1984, they’ve gone from strength to strength. They've also diversified their product ranges, offering more choice than ever before.

Lenovo – for all your computing needs

It’s easy to say that Lenovo have something for you – they have a vast range, from tablets to gaming PCs and lots in-between. They consistently offer a great balance between reliability, value and performance, with multiple ranges winning praise through the industry and with customers alike.

From humble beginnings

Lenovo were never one to follow the pack, despite coming from humble beginnings on a shoestring budget. By 1990 they were manufacturing their own brand of computers. And by the late 1990's they were the market leader in China. They had quickly made an impact in the domestic Chinese market but had greater ambitions. 

IBM to Lenovo ThinkPad

In 2005, they purchased the PC division of IBM. This was a big deal for them and resulted in their ownership of the much-respected ThinkPad range. Lenovo took what was great about ThinkPad and made it better and are still offering them today. This move also strengthened their name in global markets, which helped further their expansion plans.

The company today

Being forward-thinking and fuelled by success, Lenovo continue their growth into new markets. They now offer everything from tablets to gaming desktops, to VR and supercomputers. With so many different products, we'd forgive you for thinking that they are a jack of all trades. So, it's a surprise to find out that this isn’t the case. From their entry-level IdeaPad to their highest-end server, they maintain quality, reliability, and value.
